Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

InboxQuiet was built on a simple idea: your email is yours. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the limits we hold ourselves to.

What we collect

We collect as little as possible. To run your account we store the information needed to deliver and secure your mail — your address, encrypted message data, and basic technical records required to operate the service reliably. We do not require a phone number, real name, or recovery profile to create an account.

What we don't do

Encryption

Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. Where end-to-end encryption applies, content is protected with keys we cannot access, which means we are unable to read your encrypted messages.

Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete content or close your account, the associated data is removed from our active systems within a reasonable period, subject to limited legal or backup retention.

Your choices

You can access, export, or delete your data and close your account at any time. Because we collect so little, there is rarely much to remove — but the controls are yours to use.
